  • Uses Interactor engine’s SDK or unified API to integrate third-party service in the application
  • References the third-party service documentation for what is possible
  • (optional) Integration developer at times clone existing connector and modify to meet the unique needs of their product

Integration platform management

The app integration developer may have a dual role of integration platform manager. In the context of Interactor, a platform is an infrastructure that has Interactor Engine deployed and integrated into their product and connectors. A Platform ID is assigned to each licensed deployment and is globally unique.

Integration platform manager's roles and responsibilities may include

  • Deploying Interactor Engine and making it available for their developers and users
  • Making select connectors available for their users to use in their custom automation
  • Defining platform variables for the deployment and for each connector
